Amazingly Heavy? Clouds
Imagine those fluffy white things floating up there aren’t just pretty to look at—they’re heavyweights in disguise!
You wouldn’t guess it, but your average cloud is no lightweight.
It’s got some serious volume, about the size of 1km3, and a density only slightly lower than the air around it, which is why they can chill up there.
Crunching the numbers, it turns out these bad boys tip the scales at roughly a whopping million tonnes.
Who knew something so dreamy could pack such a punch in weight!
Clouds are like the heavyweight champs of the sky, putting on a show that’s both impressive and surprisingly heavy-duty!
